Onward to Moffat
We set of for Boreland on a wet and dreary morning but things improved before we reached Corrie, it was an easy walk along an undulating by road with sheep grazing quietly all about. There was no sign of any lambs yet but from the look of the ewes they would not be long arriving. We stopped for our sandwiches in the edge of a wood, a fallen log provided a handy seat but it was very cool and we were soon on our way again to keep warm.

General election posters decorated the telegraph poles and fences as we passed through the hamlets of Corrie and Boreland. Then It was downhill all the way until we reached the level valley floor where the river Anan meandered Its way |
